... the cooper that goes in to copper wire is not anything close to pure particularly with solid #4 and larger so i find it difficult to believe that this could not be sold to a scrapper for smelting. it would not be top grade but it would fall in with the tin clad stuff at minimum imo.

Ummm just a thought... in the video you say the first thing you put in with the scrap was hydrochloric acid then peroxide and third you said hydrochloric acid again but the jug said mehratic acid so which is it? Could be dangerous if the mix is wrong right?

How often should the stannous chloride solution be replaced or is it good indefinitely?

Might be worth investing in a mass spectometer to identify what's in leftover particulate, will probably save you money on acids in the long run.

something i've wondered while watching your videos... is there a surfactant that you could use with these chemical reactions to help maintain and prevent "boilover"? i don't know enough chemistry to know if that would work with your highly acidic solutions and i'm just assuming you could remove that particular "contamination" in a later/more controllable process. i enjoy your videos and just watched this one while processing a new product line of fume hoods.
